Pimpin' my sister
My sister is an artist. She just posted on her Livejournal that she has a new blog. Which isn't a Livejournal. Boo. Now I'll never remember to look at her blog again.

Once in awhile I just like to talk her up. She doesn't ask me to, but that's what sisters are for!

But what do you mean you won't remember to look at my blog? How can you not read other blogs already? I use bloglines and at this point I'm subscribed to 69 blogs!! of course I love lj too.

Um...I don't know, I guess I've never bothered to look into these things because 95% of people I know are on Livejournal. I guess it might help for the four people I know who are on BLOGSPOT...duhn duhn...

I guess there are ways to set up rss feeds for blogs on livejournal. I still have some of those friended on lj... but I don't know how to set it up. maybe I'll try to figure that out!
But still, there are so many good blogs now!

I do have some RSS feeds but I don't really like how they work...oftentimes you have to click on them to get the whole post and I'm not that patient. Is bloglines like that?

On bloglines there is a list of your blog subscriptions on one side and it shows if their are new posts, you can select blogs and the new posts will show up... um, if that makes sense. The only problem is with some blogs their images will not show up because they didn't put the full URL in for their images. Google Reader might be good, it wasn't around when I signed up for bloglines. But bloglines seems fine with me!

download an RSS feed reader, stat. or sign up for google reader! or a million other web-based feed readers!

there's a huge, wonderful world of blogs out there that would just blow you away. and worlds and worlds full of wonderful people.

livejournal is not the only place to go on the net...it's rather insular, actually, imo! get out of here and explore!!!

no, its good. please trust me on this!

i'd even venture to say it would or could be good for you professionally, with your writing, if you are visible and findable outside of livejournal.
